Having a 2 year old on your hands doesn’t really give you all that extra time to carve creative pictures nor is it something my 2 year old can participate with, so this year we opted not to carve pumpkins, but rather paint, glitter, and create.
For this project you will need a pumpkin, glue, glitter, and ribbon. Use the glue to write the name on the pumpkin and then sprinkle the glitter. Add a little ribbon and you are done! This project may take 5 minutes at most. Let dry for a few hours and you are ready to display your pumpkin. I would keep this one in doors.
The next pumpkin we put together was a Mr. Pirate Potato Head. We picked up the pieces from Target. My son loved this quick easy project. He loved figuring out where we were going to put all the body pieces. He did such an excellent job placing the pieces in the proper spots. A few times I deviated from his direction and he seemed concerned I was placing an eye where he had told me to put an arm.
I’m so happy with the way we decorated our pumpkins this year…stress free and time appropriate for a 2 year old.
Hope you all have a wonderful Halloween!
